Episode 4 - Perfect Happiness

As the western world becomes more controlled, more digital, and as it moulds more into Aldous Huxley's idea of 'A Brave New World', I felt it was time to put my feelings of anguish into sound.

This mix was inspired by time spent between Amsterdam & London during Winter 2009, recession session! It features some real tech house gems released over the past few months from some really cool producers, and pioneering record labels.

Track Listing.

Intro (extracted from the film, New World Order)
SM1 Music - SM1 (Ben Nish Nish)
Cass Collective - Detroit Thunder
Jurek Przedzski - Absolutely Nothing
Dave James - Anger Management
La Gosse - Minimonster
Drumcode - Over the sea - (Greencross Remix)
Davis & May - No Words Needed
Popof - Lost Thought 1
Stephan Bodzin - Cucuma
Colin John - Karma
Outro (Trentemoller - The Forest)

Episode 3 - Summertime travels in Europe

After a great start to 2009, I was influenced by the sunshine to create a rather different mix compromising music that I love with the techy sound I live for. This mix is a representation of London, Milan, Barcelona, Belgium, Amsterdam and Paris. My favourite destination had to be Barcelona, which was a cool city with fantastic weather and a beautiful beach. My favourite track is Rodriguez Jnr Lila, the track before last on the mix. This episode coincides two mixes both compiled over summer and plays as 80 minutes of pure bliss, hope you enjoy it :D (Big shout out to Erica V)

Episode 1 - Mixed Emotions (MLK DAY USA)

An enigmatic TECHNO journey into the feelings of Black civil rights campaigner Martin Luther King. This epic collaboration of sound and speech tells the story of the torment and anguish experienced in America during the years of the Black Civil Rights movement.

Dubbed with dialogue from the world famous 'I have a dream' speech, and intelligently mixed with the sonourous sounds of techno tracks from various producers like Stephan Bodzin, Davis & May, Dusty Kid and Florian Mendl - DJ Colin John seemlessly mixes the story of pain suffering in sunny contrast with happiness.

Welcome to 2009
